Hello! We’re Jaz and Kay and we’re the co-founders of JK Card Shop, a stationary company out of Toronto, ON.

Friends since the age of 15, we have always been the epitome of yin and yang; a marriage of left and right brains. We first discovered this dynamic while planning our high school prom together back in the day and talked about using this strength in business ventures ever since. But life happens (as it often does), and we forged our own paths in our individual careers. It wasn’t until the pandemic began that life slowed down just enough for our career paths to align and allow us to venture on the journey we had talked about since high school.

In regards to our stationary, our M.O is a cheeky and stylish take on the traditional greeting card. Derived from Maya Angelou’s words “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do some with some passion, some compassion, some humour and some style.”

We value that sentiment, and strive to represent that energy in our designs. A laugh can do a lot. Follow our journey @thejkcardshop we hope to give you a chuckle, to brighten your spirits; even if only for a moment. We know we could all use a chuckle right about now, that’s for certain.
